The Primacy of First Ten Days on Hijjah Month

The Primacy of First Ten Days on Hijjah Month

ByDr Abdullah bin Mohammed Ath-Thayyar

Imam al-Bukhari in shahiihnya narrated from Ibn 'Abbaas anhuma of the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam that he said:
ما العمل في أيام العشر أفضل من العمل في هذه, قالوا: ولا الجهاد? فقال: ولا الجهاد إلا رجل خرج يخاطر بنفسه وماله فلم يرجع بشيء ...
"No practice is more important than the practice in the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah this. They asked, "Not even jihad? 'He replied,' Not even jihad, except the one that came into dangers to himself and his property so it does not come back with something else. '" [1]
Thus, it is clear that the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah is the day-to-day world is the absolute best. That's because the main worship gathering at her and not at any other gathering. All worship him there that is in the other day, such as prayer, fasting, Sadaqah and dhikr, but those days have not owned keistimewan other days the rituals of Hajj and Shari'ah berkur-ban on 'Id (feast ) and Tasyriq days.
Ibn Hajar rahimahullah said, "The rajih that privilege for the month Dhu al-Hijjah because he was a gathering place for worship of the parent, ie prayer, fasting, and pilgrimage Sadaqah. It does not exist in any other month. Based on this case if primacy is special to the person or to the public pilgrimage? There is a possibility in it. [2]
In the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah are the following deeds:
1. Hajj and Umrah. Both include best practice that can bring a servant to his Lord.
2. The first nine days of fasting and the particular day that included practice-ninth best practice. Suffice it in this case words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:
صيام يوم عرفة أحتسب على الله أن يكفر السنة التي قبله والسنة التي بعده
"Fasting the day of 'Arafah expecting reward from Allah to erase the sins of a year ago and the years to come." [3]
3. Takbir and dhikr in these days diijabahi (granted) by the word of God:
ويذكروا اسم الله في أيام معلومات
"And so they called the name of God on the appointed day" [Al Hajj/22: 28]
4. Disyari'atkan on this day slaughter and sacrifice of the feast day Tasyriq. This is the sunnah of our father, Abraham when Allah replace her son, Isma'il with great sacrifice animals as well as the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam has sacrificed two horned goat fat again for himself and his people.
5. As also disyari'atkan the feast to a vibrant Muslim to perform prayer, listen to sermons and use them to recognize the sacrifice and the laws associated with it.
6. Disyari'atkan also on these days and other days to increase the sunnah practice, such as prayer, reading al-Qur'an, Sadaqah, renew repent and forsake sin and wickedness, both small and great.
Ibn Qudama rahimahullah said, "The first day of Dhu al-Hijjah Ten are all glory and virtue, practice in it multiplied, and disunnahkan so earnestly worship in those days." [4]
واذكروا الله في أيام معدودات فمن تعجل في يومين فلا إثم عليه ومن تأخر فلا إثم عليه لمن اتقى واتقوا الله واعلموا أنكم إليه تحشرون
"And berdzikirlah (by calling) name of God in a few days berbilang. Those who want to quickly departed (from Mina) after two days, it is no sin for him. And those who want to suspend (departure from the two-day), it is no sin for him anyway for those who fear Allah. And fear Allah, and know that you will be gathered to Him. "[Al-Baqarah / 2: 203]
And Allah Ta'ala says:
ليشهدوا منافع لهم ويذكروا اسم الله في أيام معلومات على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام فكلوا منها وأطعموا البائس الفقير
"So that they exhibit a variety of benefits for them and that they call God's name on appointed day the fortune that God has given to them in the form of livestock. So eat a portion thereof, and (partly) give to eat those poor miserable again. "[Al-Hajj/22: 28]
The scholars disagree on the purpose of the word of God on the days that berbilang and determined. Among them was:
1. Day-to-day is a day designated by the sacrifice of their differences whether it's three days or four days.
2. Those days are determined first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah of the beginning of the month until the holiday.
3. These days are the days berbilang Tasyriq.
4. The days are specified and the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah Tasyriq days, then from March to the end of the thirteenth.
5. The days are determined first nine days of the month Dhu al-Hijjah and the day-to-day is the day-to-day berbilang Tasyriq together on 'Id.
There is also a weak opinion saying that the days are determined first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah and the day-to-day is the day-to-day berbilang slaughter. It menyelisihi ijma '.
Its true that the days are determined first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah and the day-to-day is the day-to-day berbilang Tasyriq.
Ibn al-'Arabi rahimahullah said, "Our Scholars say that the days of throwing Jumrah are days berbilang (ma'duudaat) and the days of slaughter were the days specified (ma'luumaat)." [5]
While Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah said, "Some say, the days specified are the days of slaughter and some say he is the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah." [6]
Ibn Kathir rahimahullah said, "Ibn 'Abbaas said anhuma days berbilang Tasyriq were the days, and the days are determined first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah." [7]
Ibn Hajar rahimahullah in Fat-hul Baari [8] and ash-Syaukani in Fat-hul Qadiir [9] has described the statement of the scholars on this issue and they almost did not get out of what we have stated above. Wallahu a'laam.
COMPARISON BETWEEN THE LAST TEN DAYS TO TEN DAY RAMADHAN FIRST MONTH HijjahLet a Muslim knows that comparing matters not mean to disparage either of the more mainstream, even this should be a spur to redouble practice on things take precedence and primacy as hard as I can.
The scholars have addressed this issue and I think that rajih-Allah knows best-the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah more important than the last ten days of Ramadan, and the last ten nights of Ramadan is more important than the first ten nights of the month Dhu al-Hijjah, because of the virtue of the night of Ramadan The views from the Qadr night and for the night. While the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah prioritized day-to-day seen from the day of 'Arafah, the day of slaughter and day Tarwiyah (8 Dzulhijjah).
Shaykh al-Islam was asked about the comparison between the two this time, he replied, "Ten first day of Dhu al-Hijjah greater than ten days of Ramadan, while the last ten nights of Ramadan is more important than the first ten days night Hijjah."
Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah said, "If people are noble scholars pondered this answer, surely he found it as sufficient and satisfactory answer." [10]
COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO HOLIDAYThe scholars have discussed about this issue, there is a priority to 'Eid al-Adh-ha on' Eid ul-Fitr and nothing otherwise. Having explained the virtue of two holidays and both include the most important day of the year, then the rajih is 'Eid al-Adh-ha greater than' Eid ul-Fitr, because the service of the 'Eid al-Adh-ha is slaughtered sacrifice with prayers while in' Eid ul-Fitr is Sadaqah with prayer. But it is obvious sacrifices greater than Sadaqah sacrifice, because her worship is worship gathering two bodies (physical) and property. Sacrifice is the worship of physical and property, while only worship hadyah Sadaqah and treasure it.
Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah explained that 'Eid al-Adh-ha greater than' Eid ul-Fitr, for two reasons:
1. Worship on the day of 'Eid-ul-Adh-ha, ie more mainstream offerings of worship on the day of' Eid ul-Fitr is Sadaqah.
2. Sadaqah in the day 'Eid ul-Fitr come to fast, because it is required to clean up the fasting of the futility and ugliness and feeding the poor and excluded disunnahkan before prayer. While offering disyari'atkan in those days as the worship itself, therefore disyari'atkan after prayers.
Allah Ta'ala-said of the first:
قد أفلح من تزكى وذكر اسم ربه فصلى
"Truly successful who are self-cleaning (with faith), and the name he remembered his Lord, then he prayed." [Al-A'laa: 14-15]
And on the second:
فصل لربك وانحر
"So establish prayer as your Lord and berkurbanlah." [Al-Kauthar: 2]
Then Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah said again, "So the prayers of people in this country-the country are equal to the pilgrims who threw Jumrah al-'Aqabah and slaughtered them in the country-the country are equal to slaughter pilgrims hadyu." [ 11]
