Fasting-Pillars, Six Things That the quick

Sheikh Abdullah bin Abd al-Azhim Khalafi

10. Pillars, Pillars of Fasting
a. Intention
Based on the word of God:

وما أمروا إلا ليعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء

"Though they weren't ordered except to worship God with obedience to Him purifies in (to run) the correct faith ..." [Al-Bayyinah: 5]

Also words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:

إنما الأعمال بالنيات, وإنما لكل امرئ ما نوى.

"Verily, deeds are accompanied intentions and each person gets a present for his deeds in accordance together with his intention." [1]

And the intention is to be done before dawn on each night of Ramadan. it's primarily based on the hadith radi anhuma Hafsah, she said, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

من لم يجمع الصيام قبل الفجر فلا صيام له.

"Whoever doesn't will quick before dawn, then there's no quick for him." [2]

b. Refrain from all things that invalidate the quick, from dawn till sunset
Allah Ta'ala says:

"... thus hold intercourse with them and get what Allah has ordained for you and eat and drink till clear to you (the difference) between the white thread and black thread of the dawn. Then complete your quick until (come) tonight ... "[Al-Baqarah: 187]

11. There are Six Things that invalidate the quick
a, b. Eating and drinking deliberately
If somebody is eating or drinking in an exceedingly state of forgetting, then he's not obliged mengqadha 'and pay the expiation, primarily based on the history of Abu Hurayrah radi anhu, that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said:

من نسي وهو صائم فأكل أو شرب, فليتم صومه, فإنما أطعمه الله وسقاه.

"Those who forget that he was fasting, and then he ate or drank, then let him refine his quick, for Allah has given him to eat and drink." [3]

c. Vomiting on purpose
Meanwhile, if not intentionally, it's discretionary upon mengqadha 'fasting and paying an expiation. it had been narrated from Abu Hu-rairah z, that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

من ذرعه القيء فليس عليه قضاء ومن استقاء عمدا فليقض.

"Those who give accidentally, then he's not obliged mengqadha 'fasting, whereas people who deliberately vomited, then it's obligatory for him mengqadha'." [4]

d, e. Menstruation and Ruling
Although this happened at the last second of the day (before breaking the fast), primarily based on consensus (ijma ') of the students.

f. Copulate
And with that the expiation is needed within the following hadith:
From Abu Hurayrah radi Anhua, he said, "When we tend to were sitting with the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, came a person and said,' O Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ruined me.' He asked, 'What have you ever destroyed?' He replied, 'I had sex with my wife whereas i used to be in an exceedingly state of fasting for Ramadan.' He asked, 'Are you ready to free a slave?' 'No,' he replied. Then he asked again: 'Are you ready to quick for 2 consecutive months?' He replied, 'No.' He asked, 'And are you ready to feed sixty individuals poor?' He replied, 'No.' Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam silent, and when we're in such circumstances, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam was given a basket of 'araq * dates, and then he said,' Where are individuals asking about? ' the person replied, 'I am.' He said, 'Take this and bersedekahlah him!' the person said, 'Are there people that are poorer than we tend to O Messenger of Allah? By Allah, nobody within the family between the 2 places that lots of black stone in Medina is a lot of faqir from us. ' Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam laugh till you see the fangs, then he said,' offer alms of your family eat it. '"[5]
