What is the ruling on people who memorize the Qur'an and forget about it, like the people (students) who memorized for the purpose exams, whether it is sinful.?

An answer.
Praise be to Allah, prayers and greetings to His Apostle hopefully shed, their families and companion, wa ba'du.

Many people who read the Qur'an, but he did not memorize it because his memory is weak, so he's getting rewarded for reading it and condoned non-occasion, as the word of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

"Meaning: The bertaqwalah you to God as much as you" [At-Thagabun: 16]

As for those who memorize the Qur'an, eg for exams, then he forgets, then he has made mistakes and had a lot of goodness out of it.

Wabillah at-taufiq sallallaahu wa 'ala Muhammad wa nabiyyina aalihi shahbihi wa sallam.
