One time a friend of Al-Bara 'bin' Azib-radi 'anhuma-said: "The Prophet said to me shollallahu' alaih wa sallam:
"When you go to bed, then berwudhulah like you want to perform prayer. Then lie down on the right body part. Then say: "O Allah, I surrender myself to Thee, to Thee I surrender my business, I leaned my back to thee, the pleasure and fear. There is no refuge from You except in You and rescue. I believe in the book which Thou hast revealed, and the Prophet whom thou hast sent. "When you die, you die in a state of nature. And make it your last words. "(HR Bukhary 19/372)
Subhanallah ... This is a practice that was lightweight but weighted. Imagine, by reading the prayer as above, then the person meets his death in his sleep if he will be judged of God subhaanahu wa ta'aala sabagai die in a state of nature. Which means he died in a state of all his sins forgiven by God, as the situation when he first was born by his mother.
قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كل مولود يولد على الفطرة فأبواه يهودانه أو ينصرانه أو يمجسانه (البخاري)
The Prophet said shollallahu 'alaih wa sallam: "Each is born is born in a state of nature. So that makes it both orangtunyalah Jewish, Christian or Zoroastrian. "(HR Bukhary 5 / 182)
Firstly, Islam does not justify the concept of "original sin". Islam considers that a newborn baby, whoever he is, is born in a state of nature, clean, pure without any sin. Islam does not recognize the term "illegitimate child". Even if there are children born of adultery, then it is haraam or sin is an act the two men who had committed adultery, not the baby. So really lucky people who died when assessed as a die in a state of nature, clean, pure without sin. Means he will receive the reward of good deeds alone that has been done in the world. While he was not involved in any sin that caused him to deserve punishment or punishment in the afterlife. Unless he has a mistake against a fellow servant of God or man. So of course it still will be processed by Allah subhaanahu wa ta'aala. And of course, God will not menzalimi anyone.
Secondly, Islam considers that when a person is sleeping means his soul separated from his body. So when he woke from his sleep means that God was pleased to restore the soul into the body of the man. But if God berekehendak He certainly has the right to hold another person's spirit to forever so it does not return to his body. And this is the event of death. A believer who understands and believes the concept is certainly not going to go to sleep just like that without preparing for the possibility he would never wake up again and for all, namely death, aka dead.
الله يتوفى الأنفس حين موتها والتي لم تمت في منامها فيمسك التي قضى عليها الموت ويرسل الأخرى إلى أجل مسمى إن في ذلك لآيات
لقوم يتفكرون (الزمر)
"God holds the soul (person) when the death and (holding) soul (person) who has not died in his sleep; then He must resist the soul (person) whom He had set his death and he releases another soul until the time specified. Verily in this there are signs of God for people who think. "(AzZumar 42)
So when the Prophet shollallahu 'alaih wa sallam told us how to best prepare for the possibility of his death while sleeping, it is fitting us obedient to run it with a sense of gratitude .... Alhamdulillah .-
